Report:
The weather has once again been steady this week with the wind coming from the South/ South West all week and varying from near flat calm to around a force 4. We have had mainly cloudy days this week so the fish have been well up in the water. Floating lines; sink tips and intermediates have done the most damage this week. Small black dries, hoppers and Daddies have all worked well off the top while traditional wets and nymphs have worked sub surface.
This week saw Carsington Water Host the England Ladies National Final. 19 competitors took part to try and earn a place on the England team for next year. The day was a tremendous success with no one blanking and 12 of the competitors bagging their full 6 fish limit. Overall there were 92 trout caught giving a rod average of 4.84 for the competition and the average weight per trout was 2lb 3oz. (For the full results sheet please see our web site: www.moretoexperience.co.uk/carsingtonfishery)

Congratulations to all the qualifiers who made the team. We wish them all the best in representing their country next year.
