| Anglers have had to endure a mixed bag of weather during the last week at Scaling Dam, |
| with several days of thick fog and rain. The Eastern end of the lake was the most productive |
| area for both bait and fly anglers. Several bait anglers caught full limits from the East shoreline. |
| Worm popped up with a Polyball was without doubt the best method. |
| As in the past couple of weeks traditional wet patterns tempted the most fish for fly anglers |
| Wet Hare's Ear, Invicta, Bibio and Black and Peacock Spider were the most productive. |
| Several fish of between 3lbs and 5lbs were recorded but the best rainbow of the week |
| at 10lbs 8oz was caught by Stainton bait angler Mr. Jim Porley, fishing close to the Disabled |
| Jetty. His double figure Trout was tempted by the worm and polyball combination. |
