Ranger's review:
Anglers have had to endure a mixed bag of weather during the last week at Scaling Dam,
with several days of thick fog and rain. The Eastern end of the lake was the most productive
area for both bait and fly anglers. Several bait anglers caught full limits from the East shoreline.
Worm popped up with a Polyball was without doubt the best method.
As in the past couple of weeks traditional wet patterns tempted the most fish for fly anglers
Wet Hare's Ear, Invicta, Bibio and Black and Peacock Spider were the most productive.
Several fish of between 3lbs and 5lbs were recorded but the best rainbow of the week
at 10lbs 8oz was caught by Stainton bait angler Mr. Jim Porley, fishing close to the Disabled
Jetty. His double figure Trout was tempted by the worm and polyball combination.
Best flies:   Traditional Wet Patterns
Best baits:   Worm / Poly ball
Best areas:   Eastern end of the Reservoir
