Ranger's review:
A return to bitter cold weather with heavy snow showers towards the end of the week
spoilt what promised to be a much better week at Scaling Dam. Earlier in the week
bait anglers in particular were recording good catches. The West End of the Dam Wall
was the most productive location. As in the previous week the best tactic was ledgering
on or very close to the bottom. Orange Powerbait was once again the best bait.  Several
anglers fishing the East End of the Dam Wall had some decent catches using swim feeder
and maggot, also fished right on the bottom.
Fly anglers tempted a few fish on Dawson's Olive fished very deep. A return to milder
conditions should see a big improvement for fly rods.
A further 760 rainbows will be stocked during the coming week.

Best catch:    First Blue of the season.
Best flies:    Dawson's Olive.
Best baits:    Orange Powerbait.
Best areas:    West End of the Dam Wall.
