Ranger's Review:
Boat anglers have had very challenging conditions this week due to the bitterly cold wind, there have been days when boats have been cancelled because it was not safe out on the water. Bank anglers have enjoyed good sport when temperatures have picked up, the Water-Ski Bay at Leaplish and also the lower car park at Tower Knowe have been two of the most popular areas this week. Thomas Arckle caught the best fish of the week a rainbow of 4lb 2oz from the Rievers' Rest at Leaplish Waterside Park.
There have been a number of over-wintered rainbows caught at the Matthew's Linn and at the Lewis Burn.  Work is in progress on the bridge that will take the Lakeside Way over the Lewis Burn and all anglers should adhere to the warning signs.
All brown trout caught at Kielder must be returned, the brown trout season starts on the 1st of May.
Best catch:     4lb 2oz rainbow
Best bait:     Worm and Sweetcorn
Best areas:    Leaplish Water-Ski Bay, Tower Knowe Visitor Centre.
Best flies:
