Ranger's review:
Another great week at Hury despite the cold windy weather, with many limit catches and several anglers returning double figures of trout, with many in 3 to 4lb size range.
Despite the cold easterlies the fish have remained in the shallower areas with floating and
intermediate lines accounting for the majority of fish on a wide range of patterns with mini Fritz performing very well throughout the week, black and orange the best colours.
A number of fish in the 10lb range have been stocked, so be prepared for even more excitement during the coming weeks.
Best flies: Black and Green Nomads, Black Boobies, Bumbles and Black Palmers.
Best areas: Top of Dam at Boil Pipe, Corporal Hill, Peninsula and Newhouse Bay.
