Ranger's review:
The onset of winter conditions did nothing to slow the sport on Hury, with a rod average above 5 fishing has again been excellent with many anglers returning good numbers of fish. Some superb fully finned fish have been recorded with many above 3lb. Black and green lures such as Vivas have taken the lion's share of the fish and, with the fish still hugging the banks long casts are not necessary, indeed some anglers are wading in too far and scaring fish away.
Best flies: Viva, Black Cat's Whisker & Kate McClaren.
Best areas: Scoon Bank, Deep Bay & Reedy Bank.
