Ranger's review:
There have been some good hatches coming off the water with smaller patterns the most effective, Bibio and Black Hoppers have done well on the dropper with Black or Orange Fritz on the point taking well. Floating or intermediate lines have been the preferred choice with an excellent average of 4.3 fish per rod and fish to 5lb. Some anglers have taken several fish over 3lb in their catches, the best overall catch going to P. Raine with 23lb 8oz. Fish have been active around the whole of the reservoir with sport being good along the south shore and dam area at the top end with fish active along the margins so long casting
isn't always the best approach. Lots of blues are coming out with just under one blue to 5 rainbows appearing in the catches so come to Hury and catch some super fish!!
Best flies: Sedges, Bumbles, Zulu, Orange Fritz all working well.
Best areas: Top end Boil Pipe and the Penninsula.
