Ranger's Review:
Fishing at the beginning of the week remained tricky due to the continued inclement weather, which meant few boats were out until Saturday. The first beginners' day of the season was a great success with 10 new anglers enjoying a good day's fishing. Warmer weather on Sunday saw large numbers of Buzzers hatching, which resulted in quality fish being taken from the Dam car park area and West Bank near Saltmarsh Corner. Several 5 and 6lb fish have been taken this week, plus a stunning rainbow of 9lb 13oz taken from the boat by Mr David Bromley on a Black and Green Booby on a DI 7 line. Finally, calmer conditions are now helping catch rates with prospects looking much better for the week ahead.
Water Temp 7C.
Boats in Time 7.15pm.
Bank Closing 7.30pm.
Best catch: 9lb 13oz rainbow, David Bromley.
