Ranger's review:

A mixed week in beautiful Teesdale with fish very difficult to tempt in the early part of the week.Catch rates increased later in the week with rod averages reaching nearly five and fish rising all over in the early morning calm. J Walsh had a cracking day taking a twelve fish limit for 24lb 7oz including a best of 3lb 10oz. Ayresome Primary School added fishing to the curriculum as part of an activity week and 32 youngsters tried their hand at trout fishing for the first time and several were successful landing fish up to 3lb 5oz on ledgered Powerbait. When its not too windy float fished worm has accounted for several good catches with many 3lb plus fish caught. Apart from the ever reliable buzzer, fly hatches have been quite sparse this week and attractors such as muddlers and sparklers pulled through the waves have been the tactic of several successful anglers.
Best flies:    Sparklers, Soldier Muddler, Bibio, Pheasant Tail Nymph
Best baits:    Ledgered Powerbait with Magic Dust in a feeder,  float fished worm, Flying 'C'
Best areas:    Easter Bay,  Lodge Front,  Stake Hill
