Ranger's review:
A great week again with many anglers catching their limit. Heaviest fish of the
week was a lovely 5lb rainbow caught by P Newlands. J. Green landed four fish over 3lb in his limit catch for a total of nearly 24lb. The Burns family from Cramlington had their best fishing trip yet taking two limit catches between them off the North shore with ledgered Powerbait. Greg Robinson fished 2 days running and managed to catch his limit both
times weighing in at 18lb and 19lb respectively. Best spots were the dam wall and along the North shore. Fly anglers using an intermiediate line with a 12 foot leader and a team of
small black flies such as Bibios and Vivas worked well. Bait anglers using ledgered Powerbait and worm were rewarded with many good catches.
Best flies: Orange Fritz, Vivas and Bibios.
Best bait: Pink Powerbait & worm cocktail.
Best areas: North Shore.
