Ranger's review:       
A cold wet week at Fontburn with anglers having to work hard to get their fish, however, those who stuck to their task were well rewarded. D. Skinner caught eight for just over 26lb 
whilst G. Wind took 8 for just over 30lb, C. White took 8 for 23 1/2 lb and T Brannigan 6 for 17 lb. 

Four year old Thomas Fraser accompanied by his dad Scott from Wallsend caught four fish, with one just under 4lbs. It was Thomas' first time trout fishing and he was using ledgered Orange Powerbait.       
      
Best catch: 
Best flies: Orange Booby, Viva Booby and Cat's Whisker. 
Best bait: Orange or white Powerbait or Gold Greedy Bait.
