Ranger's review:
Some cracking catches this week. the White brothers, Carl and Gregg started the week off well both catching their 8 fish weighing over 23lb each.  M Nicholson also caught 8 weighing 23lb. David Skinner and B. Smith were the best for the week both anglers caught 8 fish
weighing over 28lb.  Northerly winds made things difficult but if anglers braved the waves and fished into them they were well rewarded. White or Orange ledgered Powerbait or Black Gold Greedy Bait were the fishes preferred choice Local angler Andrew Webster from Newcastle had a great day catching his best fish ever, a cracking fully finned Fontburn reared beauty, weighing a massive 12lb 3oz.  Andrew caught his fish using a silver mepps off the dam wall. Fly anglers would be advised to continue to use cold water tactics such as a HI-D line and various coloured Boobies until things warm up - the first Sand Martins have been seen so the warmer weather must be on its way !
Best flies:    Orange Booby. Viva Booby and Cat's Whisker.
Best bait:    Orange or White Powerbait or Gold Greedy Bait
Best areas:    Dam Wall
