Ranger's review:
The best weeks fishing so far at Derwent with some excellent catches and some more big fish caught. G. Malehan took 6 fish for 25lb 8oz and M. Kenny took 8 fish for 20lb. Bait Angler Billy Glasgow took a fine 12 pounder

from between the two fences on the south side using ledgered Powerbait, the most potent bait method at the moment. This was one of 3 fish taken over 10lb over the week with another 22 remaining in the reservoir from the 30, 10 pounders stocked pre-season. Fly anglers are finding The Meadow the prime spot with lures the flies of choice. Look out for the Tiger trout which are due to be stocked on the 25th of April!!
Best flies: Dawson's Olive, Black Fritz, Cat's Whisker.
Best baits: Powerbait & worm cocktail.
Best areas: South shore next to the stream on bait.
Cronkley on fly.
