BRISTOL WATER REPORT
WEEK ENDING Monday 22nd September 2008
Weather: A lovely autumnal week with very light winds and warm days. Most days started misty but cleared to give bright and sometimes sunny conditions. Dry!
Water: Still a little algae present at all the lakes but making no difference to the fishing. Levels steady and the surface temperature remains at 16°C.
Catch: 138 trout taken by 53 rods, average catch 2.6 per rod
Barrows: Most fish are now being caught during the daytime as the mornings and evenings are often too cold for much fly activity. But watch around midday for moving fish as any warmth encourages hatches and feeding fish.
Total catch to date:
46,492 trout taken by 14,168 rods, an average catch of 3.3 per rod.
