BRISTOL WATER FISHERY REPORTS
WEEK ENDING Monday 8th September 2008
TOTAL FISH TAKEN TO DATE 43,865

Weather:      
The unsettled and stormy summer continues into the autumn. This week ahs seen very strong winds and very heavy rain with little sunshine.

Water:           
The algal bloom at Chew is slightly better and is still present at Barrow 1 & 2. Blagdon is clear and now overflowing after the recent rains. The surface temperature has fallen slightly to 15°C.

Barrows:       
All three tanks are continuing to produce good sport although the algae at 1 & 2 have put some off from fishing there. Most fish coming to nymphs and mini lures.

This weeks catch:
137 trout taken by 63 rods, average catch 2.2 per rod

WARNING. The algae at the lakes can give skin irritation to sensitive skin. Avoid contact when possible.
