BRISTOL WATER FISHERY REPORTS

WEEK ENDING Monday 15th September 2008

TOTAL FISH TAKEN TO DATE 44,909

Weather:       At last we have some settled, gentle weather! A mild week of mainly cloud  with some light rain. Light winds from the west and east and occasionally – some sunshine. Cooler mornings and evenings.

Water:            The blue/green algae at Chew is snow clearing and has gone from Barrow 1 & 2. Blagdon remains mainly clear. All lakes are very full. The surface temperature is still 15°C.

Barrows:        A few more fish were stocked into the tanks this week and this has improved sport at all the lakes. A few fish are falling to dries late on but nymphs and mini lures are best during the daytime.

Catch:             122 trout taken by 40 rods, average catch 3.0 per rod
