BRISTOL WATER REPORT
WEEK ENDING Monday 22nd September 2008
Weather: A lovely autumnal week with very light winds and warm days. Most days started misty but cleared to give bright and sometimes sunny conditions. Dry!
Water: Still a little algae present at all the lakes but making no difference to the fishing. Levels steady and the surface temperature remains at 16°C.
Catch: 56 trout taken by 20 rods, average catch 2.8 per rod
Litton: Both lakes still fishing very well. Floating lines with static or very slowly fished nymphs working well on the lower lake. An intermediate with a gold head also well worth trying especially around the dam on upper.
Total catch to date:
46,492 trout taken by 14,168 rods, an average catch of 3.3 per rod.
