Weekly results week ending - 13th June
111 anglers caught 364 fish rod average 3.3
A mixed week this week with sport very much influenced by conditions. On hot and bright days the boats now have the advantage as fish move out into deeper, cooler water and feed on snails, corixa, caddis and damsels. The bank has seen some excellent sport on dries and sub surface patterns when overcast skies have prevailed. Grenadiers, hoppers, soldier palmer and G&H sedges have been very good in the afternoon/ evening. Buzzer hatches have slowed a little and sedge hatches are beginning to increase. Best rainbow of the week was to Michael Jellis of West Sussex at 5Ib 2oz and the best individual catch goes to Andrew High from Sleaford who managed 17 fish. He fished from an anchored boat and took his fish on deep, static buzzers - his first 2 fish killed weighed 9Ib together ! Tomorrow will be my first anniversary of being back at Toft. A very speedy year and I have to say it's great to be here, re-kindling old friendships and dealing with happy anglers (mostly) !! Business has dramatically increased in the last 12 months as I think you all feel more settled now - knowing stability and careful management are now in place. I'd like to thank you for your continued support and together we'll ensure Toft has a future. As a thanks to my customers - FREE BOAT MONDAY starts tomorrow !! Boats should be booked prior to arrival and you MUST mention FBM to qualify - I don't tell everyone you know !! Best regards, Jason Foster
