Jubilee Report to May 17th.
A nymphs and buzzers week up until Saturday when the wind turned very cold and the anglers were again coming in to warm their hands! On Saturday the best patterns were back to the Black Nomad and the Olive Zonker and fished deeper down. During the week though the Wicked White Buzzer and Gold Ribbed Hares Ear Nymph (GRHE) had been very effective. Dry flies had also turned the head of many a trout but there were lots of missed takes - possibly where anglers were striking a bit too quickly. The dry fly was fishing well in the calmer areas of the lake and out of the cold Easterly wind. Catching dries were much as last week such as Black Spinners and Pheasant Tails and again the CDC patterns, the shuttlecocks and Shipmans were also doing well.
Doubles this week went to Mr Gareth Tilley from Lanchester.

Weighing in at 17lb 6oz, it was caught on an Olive Zonker.

Craig Owen from Teesdale landed a 16lb rainbow on a Cats Whisker.
