Weekly results week ending - 16th May
97 anglers caught 479 fish rod average 4.9 An improved rod average this week perhaps due to a return of more overcast and cooler conditions? The north east wind cotinues to prevail which seems to be keeping the fish down a little. A few fish near the surface but most feeding 6' to 16' down. Floating lines teamed with large buzzers very effective, fished beneath an indicator from the bank or fished around on the drift from the boats. Despite the cold evenings the fish are still rising well but late on, lots of large olive and black buzzers coming off. Best rainbow this week goes to Walt Ridley from Hull at 7Ib's taken on a Shipman's buzzer from a boat. Nottingham angler Dave McGeever top catch of the week - 30 fish taken on deep buzzers from a boat. FREE BOAT MONDAY starting soon, watch this space !! NB.
