Best patterns black buzzer, olive buzzer, red diawl bach, small damsel, black shipmans, black hopper, orange blob   Another good week with boat and bank anglers enjoying excellent sport even during the mini heatwave. Fish are still feeding on buzzers through most of the day. Plenty of larger ones hatching now. The warm weather has got a few of the first damsels hatching. By the end of May they will be the predominate food source during the daytime. At long last the evening rises have arrived. From 8.30pm onwards the lake is like a jacuzzi! Its a great time to practice your dry fly technique.

This Sunday, May 18th, Elinor is holding the Tommy Wood Memorial Cup: A bank competition, free to enter, fishing 9.30am - 3.30pm Raffle proceeds to Sue Ryder, Thorpe Hall, Peterborough. Tommy would have approved of the match rules, floating line and buzzer imitations only please! The fishery is open as normal for anglers not wishing to enter the match.

Next stocking May 12 & 16 & 19
