Witton is absolutely fishing its socks off at the moment mostly top of the water with fish showing all day and mostly being caught on CDC Dries, Emergers, and Buzzers just sub surface. Anglers on sporting permits have been doing really well. Mr Andy Grabham from Bishopton returning 27 fish in a day several in the 6-8lbs bracket. Both Mr David Coxon from Ouston and Mr Anthony Milburn from Frosterley returned 20 fish each with the best going to 12lbs each all to CDC's. Mr Andrew Stewart from Darlington returned what could have been a new Witton record but could not be weighed as he was on a sporting permit, it was estimated at 25lbs and part of a total of 16 with others upto 10lbs all caught on an Olive Zonker.

Best fish actually weighed in fell to Mr John Wilkinson from Consett at 14lbs 12ozs on a Black Buzzer.

Mr Raymond Anderson from Hunwick had a cracking bag at 13lbs 8ozs, 4lb and 3lb,all to CDC Emergers, along with Mr Martin Reed from Lanchester who took a magnificent looking blue at 13lbs 4ozs on a Pink Bloodworm.
