Report for week ended 10th May 2008.
Having spent months grumbling about the cold and changeable weather, I'm now going to grumble about the sunshine. The fishing has certainly been harder for some but the days have been such a pleasure that I don't think many an angler would complain. The fishing has changed from winter to summer in the space of a few days. Best patterns have been buzzers and especially the Wicked White. Emergers have done well - the CDC patterns - Shuttlecocks and Shipmans. Spinners, dries such as the Pheasant Tail, Carnhills Foam Beetle and Pheasant Tail Nymphs have been catching. A whole range of patterns really and the Olive Zonker, Dawson's Olive and Damsel also catching.

This weeks only double weighed in at 16lb 6oz and was caught by Mr David White from Consett on a Black Vibrating Daddy - a pattern which is effective throughout the year.
Thankyou,
Dave & Sandra
