Now the weather has finally settled down anglers have been treated to some excellent fishing.
Since the netting of Marsh Lake 2 weeks ago to remove all the coarse fish the trout in here have gone crazy with some anglers returning over 30 fish a session with fish upto 10lb also being returned.
Best methods have been either a damsel nymph fished slowly back on a floating line or bloodworm pattern fished static. On Ellerdines big fish lake Black and Green Tanski and Black Rubber Leg Daddys have been doing the business with fish being taken to 16lb although the average has been around 5lb this week.
Still plenty of big Browns being caught which are taking olive lures fished quite deep some of these browns are the best conditioned fish you will ever see!!!
Rod average this week a very respectable 8 fish per rod.
A few hatches of buzzers have been coming off around midday with some anglers finding small dries even working on the odd occasion.
We will be having a stocking of some really big Rainbows in the next few weeks I will keep you posted when they go in.
