Weekly results week ending - 2nd May
109 anglers caught 327 fish rod average 3 A brighter week this week has slowed sport somewhat during the day. Cool and blustery easterly winds coupled with clear skies have kept the fish down. Best bet in such conditions is to head downwind and fish small lures or nymphs on an intermediate line or fish a team of heavy buzzers on the cross wind bank. Evening rises have been excellent, so if you are intending to fish on a brighter day, then plan to stay late if possible. Lots of buzzers hatching of all shapes and sizes. Small dries and emergers very good when the fish are active. Boat sport beginning to improve over the last few days as milder and more Spring like conditions prevail. Drifting is the best bet with blobs, concrete bowls and boobies fished on a slow sinker when it's bright and small wets and buzzers on the top when they're on the move. A couple of reminders....
