Rod average over 4. Great weeks fishing with signs that Spring may at
last be here. The Cuckoo arrived back this week just one day earlier
than normal - so there must be global warming - Spring has obviously
come one day early for the Cuckoo! Now I know why we are paying all
these extra environmental taxes. Better not get into that!
The trout are now taking buzzers well - still mainly black and sometimes
black with a gold bead. We've also had trout caught on CDC Emergers and
the odd one to the dry fly. Still catching on the beasties, the Yellow
Blob has done well this week for one or two anglers as well with the
Cats Whisker and the Zonkers which have accounted for this weeks two
doubles.
Andy Hudson from South Shields took the bigger of the two at 16lb 11oz.
That went to a Grizzle Zonker.

Andrew Stephenson from Great Ayton took a 14lb 6oz on a Black Zonker.

Others were hooked but not landed - or were they just fishermen's tales?
Thankyou,
Dave & Sandra
