Fishing report week ending 19/04/08

Another excellent weeks fishing despite the wind over the weekend as 133 rods caught 645 trout for a rod average 4.8 Bank & boat anglers are enjoying the good sport with the Thornton Arm, Wood bank & farm bank producing best to buzzers, damsel, diawl bach & cruncher with an intermediate line best to use first thing in the morning with a floater best as the day warms & the trout move up in the layers.
R. Dunster caught 11 to 4lb 6oz on buzzers,  Gordon Porter caught 11 on buzzers which included two fish over 3lb & one over 4lb, John Bradshaw & his brother used damsel patterns to catch 12 to 5lb while Nick Jones also recorded a fish at 5lb. John Gunby caught 10 on buzzers & damsel from the farm bank.
I am way from the office next week therefore to book any boats don’t use the email system call the lodge on 01530 230807, but in my absence another large stocking is due to go into the reservoir which will guarantee our good sport continues.
