Report for week ended 12th April 2008
Good average of over 3.5 with a mixed bag of patterns catching. Thursday
was a good day for buzzers especially the Wicked White (slim black with
white cheeks) but also olive buzzers doing well. Other days when the
weather was back to its usual horrible self the Zonker, Cats Whisker &
Humungus were very effective. The Gold Headed Montana, fished deep,
caught well for Andrew Stephenson from Ayton in miserable conditions on
Saturday.
The Wicked White is especially effective buzzer pattern here. Tied
originally by Alan Corr and now much copied because of its success on
waters throughout the country. Just a slim black superglue type buzzer
with painted cheeks of 'Wicked White' nail varnish. We won't ask what
Alan was doing with the nail varnish!
Two doubles this week. Andrew Greener from Annfield Plain took a 15lb
9oz on a Cats Whisker.

Glen Gray from Evenwood landed a 12lb 10oz on a Hares Ear.
