Weekly results week ending - 4th April
121 anglers caught 597 fish rod average 4.9
A near 'perfect' fishing week this week with milder air and high pressure prevailing. A couple of days were very windy making things difficult to say the least but on the whole conditions have been spot on. Lots of fish on top taking small buzzers and many fish were taken on small dries. Teams of 2 or 3 buzzers fished round in the breeze have been very successful as have Diawl Bachs fished in the same way. Toft regular Pete Cowan from Scunthorpe fished on the south bank just past the boat ramp and landed 20 fish in just a few hours including a rainbow of 3Ib 12oz on his own Diawl Bach tyings.
Fish have been well spread out and the best bet is to head for where the wind is favourable. A good number of decent fish again this week with the best going to Wrawby angler Martin Rowson at 7Ib's on a small orange booby.
Just a couple of boats left for the SCIERRA pairs match at Toft on Thursday 24th April. It will be a friendly day and all anglers will receive a SCIERRA goody bag on entry worth £90 which includes 2 x Fluorocarbon, a SCIERRA trout cool bag, 2 x Hywel Morgan DVD's an HMT flyline and a cap.
