An incredible week of fishing at Foremark saw 268 anglers produce a rod average of 7.2. This was achieved despite the awful weather, though many regulars say that the worse the weather, the better the fishing at Foremark.
Best fish of the week, and the season, was a rainbow of 10lb 6oz. caught by Ken Trueman of Rotherham. The heaviest limit bag was taken by Iain Barr with 6 fish for 27lb. From the bank Lindsay Capper of Crewe caught 35. Highest number taken on the boat was 57 fish by Mr. M Ginley and his partner.
The hot-spots continue to be the Lodge Frontage, Sailing Club and Flamingo Bay. Those who decided to venture a little further afield found quality fish in the Carver Arm.
With the water starting to warm up the buzzer activity is building. Best methods from the boat are fast sinking lines with boobies. From the bank buzzers and fritz damsels are producing superb bags of fish.
