Good week for doubles but the fishing is taking a bit of a battering
with the weather which seems to be getting worse and more changeable as
the year goes on. I don't know whether it's the same on all waters but
on ours changes in the wind direction seems to upset the trout and we
have had it from every direction this week and sometimes even during the
same day.
Rod average is around 2.8 and some good trout out.
Blythe Palmer from South Shields took this weeks biggest at 19lb 1oz on
one of his most productive patterns - the Olive Zonker.

His son Dean also landed a 14lb 6oz

and Paul Hughes from Burnhope took a 10lb 13 oz.All to the Olive Zonker.

Paul Mullarkey from Bedlington caught a 15lb 15oz on a Bloodworm

and his friend Lee Appleby, also from Bedlington, was not far behind with a 15lb 13oz caught on a Cat's Whisker.

Best patterns have still been the big & ugly with the Olive Zonker and
the Bloodworm probably being this weeks favourites.
Our web site is now back in action for those who follow it.
