South Westerly winds have changed over to cold Northerlies, which has activated the full range of fish onto the feed. The larger doubles continue to take Black and Yellow Zonkers, Cats Whiskers and Dawsons Olive, whilst the 2 to 6lb. fish are onto imative patterns such as Black Buzzer, Daiwl Bach and Hares Ear at times. During the short mild periods some anglers have taken 2lb.fish off the surface on CDC flat and Loopwing patterns.

Best fish of the week fell to Anthony Stanger from Stanley at 17lbs 8ozs on a Mini Goldhead Cats Whisker. Steven Wilkinson from Bishop Auckland on a Yellow Zonker took a similar perfectly finned double at 16lbs 8ozs.

Stewart Hambleton from Bishop Auckland secured a 13lbder on a Black Zonker ,along with J Wilkinson from Consett fish of 11lbs 8ozs and 2lb.

Sporting permit anglers Mr B. Lowther from Stanley and Mr Andy Grabban both anglers reported returning 20 fish each, fishing Black Buzzer, Bloodworm and Black Zonker.
