Weekly results week ending - 21st March
58 anglers caught 653 fish rod average 11.3

A fantastic rod average-the best that I ever remember at Toft !! For the last 9 days now sport has been exceptional, as I said in last weeks report, it's as if every fish in the place has decided to feed.
The water has cleared and looks in tip top condition and even in the cold and windy weather of the last few days the fish haven't been deterred. Some anglers are fishing teams of buzzers and Diawl Bachs on floating lines and others fishing small lures on intermediates and all are catching. The fish are very well spread with plenty on the upwind banks.
Best fish this week was a rainbow of 7Ib which was weighed and released and caught by Lincoln angler Terry Taylor on a Classic FM 'nymph'.
The Trout Fisherman magazine 2007 Troutmasters Fish-Off was held yesterday and Neil Deakin from Sutton in Ashfield won with his 6 fish bag weighing 14Ib 5oz and including a rainbow of 5Ib 3oz. (photo attached). He caught his fish in the first hour and carried on pleasure fishing for the rest of the match catching 30+ more fish ! Neil will represent Toft in the Final at Grafham Water in May and I wish him good luck.
Pity it's such grim weather at the moment but hopefully the great sport will take your mind of it if you decide to turn out.
Stocking weekly with rainbows 1Ib 8oz+.
