A pretty good week in far from ideal conditions. Very strong winds have limited fishable areas on some days which reflects in the figures. Quite a few fish around boat ramp area and round from black pipe to north east corner. The fish have been higher in the water the last few days so floating lines teamed with a variety of goldhead lures have produced. Best tactic is to cast along a quiet bank rather than straight out, as fish have been very close in.

 

Several decent rainbows this week with the best at 5Ib 8oz to Mr. Wooffinden from Nottinghamshire on a black and lime green booby fished in the tower corner.

 

 

Nice to see a good turnout at the Newark Flyfishing show this weekend and I look forward to seeing everyone on the bank !!
