Good weeks fishing had by most! Trout have still being coming out mainly
on black patterns - Black Vibrating Daddy, Black Bloodworm, Black
Humungus. Dawson's & Olive Zonkers also doing well. Some anglers have
caught on all sorts though. Craig Owen from Middleton in Teesdale had
eleven on Thursday but when I asked what his best pattern had been he
reamed off half a dozen different ones - including yellow lures,
vibrating daddies & bloodworm. I asked him if at least the depth had
been consistent but he had started at about 2' down, then had to go very
deep (the morning had got out very sunny) and then had caught just sub
surface during the afternoon. Typical trout - no consistency!
