Thornton Reservoir a Record 2007 Season
The 2007 season closed on Sunday 18th November & when the final entry was recorded in the returns book this picturesque 70 acre Leicestershire reservoir had recorded a record catch with 19,095 trout recorded caught (10,069 killed & 9,026 returned) by 6,268 anglers for a fishery rod average of 3.0 with Season permit holder Geoff Willis catching the largest rainbow of the season at 9lb13oz
The 2007 season was my 26th year at Thornton & plans are already well ahead for the 2008 season which is due to open on February 1st 2008
At the moment we are selling our popular season permits with a closing date for applications on 21st December 2007 details below.
