Mark Wilkinson.
The Great Ayton angling club picked what 'weatherwise' was the best fishing day of the week and they just couldn't go wrong. Mark Wilkinson won with heaviest overall bag including a 15lb 5oz rainbow caught on Black Zonkers. Keith Stephenson had two trout for 24lb 9oz on Black Hot Tail Bunny Leech. Billy Harbottle, at a youthful 82 years also bagged himself a well deserved double of 17lb 12oz on a Black Zonker. Ian Russell landed a 15lb 3oz on a Black Hot Tail Bunny Leech. Keith Austick also from the Great Ayton Club landed the biggest of the day with an 18lb 11oz caught on a Black Cat.

Phil Totten.
Phil Totten - not to be left out, bagged another double this week. At 13lb 1oz it was just a baby compared to the 25lb 14oz he caught here three weeks ago! This one came out to a Black Zonker.
Fishing has been unsettled with the weather but trout have mainly favoured black - black anything almost! Alternatively an Olive Zonker or Dawson's Olive have also been worth a try. The trout have generally fairly deep probably because of the mix of cool winds with bright sunshine.
Thankyou,
Dave & Sandra
