Rod Average 3.4

Largest Caught:-

Good weeks fishing with anglers averaging about 3.4 trout per rod & some nice trout caught. Mr Andrew Greener from Anfield Plain caught his double of 19lb 6oz on an Olive Zonker. Bill Campbell from Eaglescliffe landed his 17 pounder on a White Fritz. Gary Dowson from Evenwood tempted his 15lb 14oz trout on a Pink Bloodworm. Not to be outdone, Mr John Taylor from Shildon caught two doubles a 14lb 10oz & 13lb 1oz both caught on a Green Cat's Whisker.

Patterns have been variable this week. Black Vibrating Daddy & black lures generally have worked well & Bloodworms - pink or black, olive patterns such as the Zonker or Dawson's Olive.

On the top lake, especially on an afternoon when it has been warmer, trout have been rising steadily and Klinkhammers have been very effective.

Thankyou,

Dave & Sandra
