How quick did that season go! What a great season we’ve had at Foremark, the fish have been playing the game all year and I have seen some of the best fish in my life come out of the reservoir. The fishery record brownie was broken in my first year, what more could I have asked for?
This week the fish have come on big time with a rod average of 4.4 and even 6.6 on one day, with all anglers taking good bags.
Tony Kink was the top angler of the week taking 25 fish from the bank up to 4lb on his first trip back to the lake in 2 years.
“What a day and how things have changed at Foremark, I will certainly be seeing see you next year,” said Tony.
He took the fish on an intermediate line and a Minkie fishing from Flamingo Bay all the way round to Bramble Bay.
Trout have started to congregate in Flamingo Bay and some cracking fish have been seen, but as yet not tempted. This is now the last week and the lake will close on the 30 November (Thursday), so get down here and give Foremark one more go before Christmas.
I would like to thank all of the anglers who have been willing to give Foremark another go this year, the season has been a good one but this wouldn’t have been possible without the anglers, so many thanks from myself and Graham. I have some great plans for the future and aim to make Foremark the best fishery in the country. Keep up to date with all that’s going on at www.foremarktroutfishery.co.uk.
If you are interested in season tickets for next year then they will be on the website, or you can contact the lodge 01283 703202.
Thank you all for fishing Foremark hopefully the fish and yourselves will overwinter well and will be ready to go again for Opening day on the 1st March.
Have a good Christmas and a great New Year.
Phil Dixon.
