Weekly results week ending - 21/9
77 rods caught 253 for a rod average of 3.3
Not too bad a week considering the conditions. Strong winds have been the main feature of the week with a couple of much colder days 'thrown in'. The fish have been staying downwind so any anglers capable of fishing in to head wind have done very well. Boats doing short drifts in to down wind banks catching well with Mick Angell and Andy Clark from Scunthorpe producing the best catch this week taking 34 fish on a mixture of daddies and orange blobs.
Plenty of fish from North West corner right around to black pipe, a few near the tower just beginning to chase fry. Fish are very close in and the best method is to fish along the bank with daddies, Diawl Bachs, damsels or olive lures. Lots of daddies showing since a bit of recent rain.
Best fish this week - a 5Ib 9oz brownie caught by Mr.Umney.
