92 rods caught 329 for a rod average of 3.6
A good week despite sometimes bright conditions. Fishing was tricky early on in week in what seemed ideal weather. Picked up from Monday onwards with plenty of fish around in North West corner and black pipe areas. On brighter days fish around 5 feet down but plenty topping when overcast. All sorts of fly life about including lots of terrestrials including a few daddy long legs.
Matt Powell from Lincoln had the best catch of 19 fish during an evening mid week session. Best rainbow was 4Ib to Mr.Thorpe from Newark and Mr.Lowe from Sheffield had a fish of a lifetime - a 3Ib 8oz ROACH !!
Best patterns - small Diawl Bachs, olive buzzers and emergers, dry sedges, hoppers, cat's whiskers or Dawson's olives if fish are a little deeper.
