Weekly results week ending - 7/9
74 rods caught 279 for a rod average of 3.77
Fished well earlier in the week during overcast conditions but a little more taxing on Friday in cloudless, bright skies which of course is no surprise.
Bank fishing best along west bank towards and past north west corner. Lots of fish moving on top on dull mornings this week with dries working very well at times. Dave McGeever from Mansfield took 14 fish on Wednesday on buzzers & dries fishing near 'the grass' - without doubt the best area! Best rainbow this week 4Ib 10oz to Lee James from Newark on a claret hopper. Quite a few anglers reporting being smashed off this week - time to up the breaking strain or ditch the fluorocarbon? - I want a big one out!
Boats good on brighter days fishing 80+ yards out and a bit deeper down.
Best patterns - small Diawl Bachs, hare's ears, olive buzzers and emergers, dry sedges and cat's whiskers or Dawson's olives if fish are a little deeper.
Mid week 'cheap' boat offer now ended but FREE BOAT MONDAY promotion still on offer!! Quote FBM when booking.
