Harray Loch gives up a cracking seatrout!
What do we love to do most in the Summer? That's right, moan about
the weather!
What do seatrout love? Rain....and plenty of it. So it should be a
belter of a year for them then, providing they''ve survived life at sea.
Perhaps we should stop complaining and beat a path to our rivers and
lochs!
We recently re-ran a feature about the famous Merkister Hotel on the
shores of Harray Loch on the Orkneys and the Head Ghilie, John Munson
is seen here with a fine fish tipping the scales (pun?) at 5lbs
3ozs. It is the best fish of the season at the Merkister so
far. John reports good conditions and a strong chance of contacting
fish.
