NEWS!! A salmon of around 11 lbs has just being caught on Beat 1 by a lucky angler fishing the Cramond Angling Club Water on the River Almond Nr Edinburgh , Scotland.

 We are still waiting for the picture of the salmon caught this morning, Wan Indra of Cramond A.C. told ukflyfisher today.

"I have received a few emails asking for this picture, but we just have to wait".

The angler who caught the salmon also managed to hook and land a couple more sea trout around two pounds.

Water condition was again perfect for angling today. Clarity was good and there were some fish moving on the surface.

Another angler fishing in the evening managed to land another sea trout, around a pound in weight and lost another two. The fish was released.

It started to rain again on late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning. Not sure how much it will rain, as this will put the river up.
