I have had a number of calls regarding the clarity of the water following last weeks rain.
I'm happy to report that the reservoir is in great shape as most of the torrential downpours seemed to miss us, we have a hint of algae but nothing that we would not expect for the time of year with visibility between 6 – 10ft. Our water temperature with this cooler weather has dropped to 17 degrees, excellent news for late June with anglers catching trout feeding on the large hatches of sedge using dries with a size 14 G&H Sedge pattern doing particularly well.
During the first three days of this week 41 rods have caught 128 trout returning 53 for a rod average of 3.1
We continue to enjoy our best June fishing for a number of years.
