LOCH FITTY

MAIN LOCH

The Scottish Ladies 1st Team Selection heat was held on Sunday 24th June in very poor conditions, with torrential rain falling during the day, the loch level rising fast & the clarity depreciating in front of their eyes, but despite this the ladies did very well with 22 rods landing a creditable 32 fish for 73lb 15oz. Congratulations must go to Ailsa Smith from Kinross who had the top rod with 5 fish for 13lb 4oz including a cracker of 4lb 4oz, in 2nd place was Jane Wright from Cove with 3 fish for 9lb 7oz &  in 3rd place was Jean Ferguson from Dalmellington with 3 fish weighing 9lb 4oz. Elaine McCracken from Port of Menteith had the heaviest fish of the day a cracking blue of 4lb 12oz
