Despite the rain our water clarity remains excellent with visibility over 10ft. The cooler morning session has fished best with 151 rods catching 487 trout returning 221 for a rod average 3.2 an excellent weeks fishing considering the weather.
Floating line with long leaders 20ft+ & buzzers fished static or an intermediate with damsels, small cats whiskers & pheasant tails or a fast sinking line & boobies have all taken trout with the trout feeding on small green buzzers, damsel nymphs & large shoals of pin fry.
Best area has been along the stones for trout feeding on the pin fry or the deeper cooler water around the cages & in front of the dam.
Norman Musson caught 9 for his morning session on damsels, Ray Sommerfield caught 12 to 3lb1oz on damsels & yellow lures on a sinking line, T. Evans & J. Balinski caught 33 between them on long leaders & static buzzers, T. Graves caught 12 on damsels for his afternoon session, A. Downes fished buzzers to catch 10 to 3lb while Peter Broad caught 10 on damsels. Dennis Copson caught a rainbow of 4lb10oz while Lee Goff returned a rainbow of 7lb.
The cooler showery weather this week should provide us with another good weeks fishing.
