Fife Angling Centre 3rd June 2007
Good hatches of Buzzers & warm air this week has brought the fish up on to the surface most days & with the Caenis hatch arriving in late May this has also produced some good rises in the evenings. The fish are now well spread out with some 8,000 fish stocked.
Amongst the best catches this week were club returns,
Dunfermline Artisans AC 12 rods 32 fish for 68lb 12oz, Tillycoultry AC 5 rods 14 fish for 38lb 2oz, Tayside Police AC 10 rods 31 fish 60lb, John Lewis Group Edinburgh AC 8 rods 13 fish 28lb, Some of the best Private boats were, Mr Goodlet 7 fish 16lb 12oz, Mr Grant 5 fish 10lb 10oz, Alex Tervit & Dave Murdoch 10 fish 25lb 4oz, Dave Blane 4 fish 10lb 8oz, Danny Tate 6 fish 10lb, Mr Brownlee & Daughter 6 fish 11lb 8oz.

Lots of activity here with good rises to Buzzers & plenty of Fry Bashing. Best catches this week were
Mr White Dunfermline 3 fish 11lb 8oz on Cats Whisker, Dave Pratt from Dunfermline 3 fish 7lb on Buzzers, Mr Jack from Dunfermline 3 fish 9lb also on Buzzers, Mr Salmond from Dunfermline 3 fish 14lb on Hoppers, Colin Wightman landed the heaviest fish of the week & his biggest ever trout, with a perfect specimen of 4lb 8oz in his catch of 2 fish 7lb.

Karen Haines from Kirkcaldy being coached by experienced angler Dick Sneddon went on to beat her teacher 3-0 with 3 crackers weighing in at 11lb, she is now & well truly HOOKED

Sport this week on the coarse pond has improved with the air & water temperatures rising thus encouraging the Roach & Rudd to start feeding. A few of the Carp have been hooked & lost but the lucky angler that manages to keep them on has landed a few ranging from 6lb to 10lb. Best Baits for Roach & Rudd have been single Maggot & best bait for the Carp have been the Dog Biscuits.
NOTE: Anglers will only be allowed onto the Coarse Pond if they have the appropriate tackle ie: unhooking mats etc.
Great sport to Power Bait & Maggots with the Worms working on the odd day, amongst the best catches of the week were
Mr Forrester & Mr McParland with 7 fish for 20lb 10oz, Mr Ewan Fotheringham had 5 fish for 16lb 1oz, Mr Johnstone from Cowdenbeath had 4 fish for 15lb 12oz
Best Fish of the week was C. Macaulay Jnr who landed a nice fish of 4lb 12oz on Power Bait.
