Another incredible 6 days fishing with 159 rods catching 1,246 trout, returning 775 for another excellent week's rod average of  7.8

We are certainly enjoying an incredible spell of fishing, possibly the best spring fishing I've seen at Thornton.

The trout are fully on buzzers this week with the boat & bank anglers catching along the Thornton Arm, Wood & Farm bank.

Floating lines when it's overcast or a Midge tip or intermediate when it's bright, with black buzzers from size 8 - 14 taking fish. Green buzzers size 12 - 16 working best, although a gold headed damsel, small Montana and a Diawl bach continues to take fish.

As you'd expect with 1000 fish being caught, a large number of anglers had large catches while fishing catch & release,but we continue to have some larger fish taken. M. Cowan 4lb & 4lb 8oz, R. Fisher 4lb 8oz & B. Nelson 4lb.

Full day boats 8:30am - 8.15pm

Part day boats 8:30am - 2:00pm/ 2:00pm - 8:15pm.

Lodge & Tackle shop open from 7:30am.
