A much better weeks fishing as conditions improved with126 rods catching 408 trout, returning 161 for rod average 3.5 The trout are once again tight along the shallows of Thornton Arm & wood bank with anglers using a floating or intermediate line, black & green tadpole or bright blob on the point with buzzers & diawl bach on the dropper accounting for a large number of trout taken.
Once again bank anglers have enjoyed excellent sport, but remember, bring your waders. Mr G. Jones took the best fish of the week at 5lb8oz but we had a further 30 trout taken over 2lb
Some other notable catches during the week were G. Robinson catching 11 to 2lb, Scott Wilson caught 10 on blobs & damsels, Peter Broad caught 10, R. Bowers caught 11 to 3lb8oz, Sean Baker caught 9 for his morning session on damsels.
